The Safespace was designed to be an attractive and economical alternative to standard wall padding. The idea was to create a room within a room to ensure the safety of the user. As they are designed to suit your exact requirements they can be used to fill the entire of a small room or may only be needed to fill a part of a larger room.

No building work is required for a Safespace and it allows continued use of existing facilities. Window, radiators, plug sockets and lights are all taken into account when designing your Safespace and can all be used normally outside the reach of the person inside.

Each Safespace is made using industrial strength PVC walls which are positioned at least 25cm away from the walls of the room. The PVC is pulled taut on an extremely sturdy steel frame. This method of pulling the PVC taut allows the PVC to flex outwards to absorb any impacts. This method, combined with the 8cm thick padded floor, reduces the risk of someone harming themselves on walls, floors and furniture outside of the Safespace.

As your Safespace will be custom designed to suit your requirements, doors and windows will be aligned with those already existing in the room. There are also zipped panels to access fitted wardrobes, alcoves etc available. Viewing panels (with or without zips) are also available for use with televisions or sensory equipment outside the Safespace.
